dont worry fred re your comment about presenters. i worked on a radio station and we werent allowed to call ourselves DJs as that implied that we were running a disco.presenters present progs, they dont just endlessly churn out music like a machine and if thats what people want.....put on a CD.

this is how radio should be, presenters having fun and having an input of what they play.these days its all done by computers, but in 1966 we had the human touch and radio was fun.

Hi, why do you believe this recording is from 30th June?

Fred Bunzl

Since posting this Swingin' Radio England recording earlier today (12th Jan. 2018), I've received the following comment from Ron O'Quinn himself about my description of this clip, where I had originally mentioned the word "presenter" (meantime changed to DJ!) ...
"Thanks for remembering Swingin' Radio England all those years ago. I would like to suggest that none of we American jocks ever want to be referred to as "presenters". The connotation of "presenter" to me is someone who simply reads what somebody else wrote down and you can tell by the hundreds of mistakes on my show that I never read anything...or for that matter prepared my thoughts. lol".
