thank you for the links fred, even today I listen to RNI recordings. it was the best radio station ever and was always in the news.

I had just purchased my first radio around this time in 1972 and would listen to RNI all the time. it was a FIDELITY RAD 12 portable and it only had MW/LW and no FM. I had that radio for years, unfortunately it lasted longer than RNI. the battery was almost as big as the radio. its nice to hear RNI on FM. I hope you have more. what a great recording. great quality. thanks for posting.

im wodering if this radio station olayed music of that time and earlier and who were its audience target based upon?

Fred Bunzl

John, RNI's target audience was all young and young-at-heart people located primarily in Holland, the UK and other countries in western Europe. While their FM signal reached only Holland at the time of this recording, their MW signal, estimated at 50+KW reached most European countries.
