Kris Needs was there, in the flesh, finger on the pulse of everything just prior to Punk exploding, then got into Hip Hop, House, Techno and was tour DJ for Primal Scream and The Prodigy. He was also editor of the both famous and infamous 'Zig-Zag' fanzine/magazine. His autobiography, "Needs Must" is a great rock n roll read and he has a new book on the way "Just A Shot Away: 1969 Revisited" Plenty to talk about and he shares his Flipside Five

What a great show. Great stories from Kris Needs and nice music too. Took me a wee while to get round to listening to this, but I'm glad I did. Thanks...
Thanks for listening Bill
Sorry Edwin I deleted your comment by accident mate
1969 was a pivotal year for me. Almost every lp I owned was an import, as a sonic voyager. My mum managed a record store for 20 years enlightening me with free promos ov now classic lps. So many groundbreaking artistes were roaming the sound waves in 1969. Look forward to your new book! Smashing interview, Kris.
great episode!
Cheers
