The weapons of war (ethnicity and religion) are being unleashed in South Sudan and Central African Republic respectively. How do we as Africans get rid of these mind-set? These two menaces restrict any form of development in the continent. In fact they encourage waste and corruption. This is the battle facing Africa today and if Africans do not get rid of this mind-set and ask their representatives questions, am afraid the future will remain bleak. What is the way out in these two African countries.

The conflict in CAR is by no means religious. Neither of the two parties claims to be wanting to realise religious objectives and neither of them has so far have propagated the conflict based on religious rhetoric. Djotodia, the now resigned president has used militia from the North, making use of his background to score against his old political colleagues of Bangui political elites but, it went out of his hands once decided to disband the forces that returned him to Bangui. Once again, as it is the case with South Sudan, the wrong diagnosis of the conflict could possibly be harmful as it may subsequently lead to the wrong solution measurements.
