The mood and Pace of this collection are inspired by a quote that came upon me in a more profound fashion in the autumn of 1996 whilst rereading Anais Nin's 1958 House of Incest. The quote that resonated with me, "All that I know is contained in this book written without witness, an edifice without dimension, a city hanging in the sky."
The goal was to then construct an edifice without dimension: a foundation of infinite rhythms put upon a backdrop of melodic compositions. What would these structures sound like as they dangled limb to limb in the sky above? Nihil Sol is primarily a compilation of Raison D'Etre and Scorn with a few subtle additions. I hope you enjoy the audio architecture outlined in these few minutes. - Savonarola
