We start out celebrating All Saints Day and All Souls Day (a couple days earlier) with half an hour of spiritual and religious music by the Zion Harmonizers, Mahalia Jackson, Kermit Ruffins, Treme Brass Band, Seva Venet, and the New Orleans Moonshiners. Then we play some traditional jazz by current artists, including Chance Bushman & the Smoking Time 5, Cassidy & the Orleans Kids, Tuba Skinny, the Loose Marbles, and Aurora Nealand & the Royal Roses. The second hour starts with music featuring a lot of strings by Steve Bing, Don Vappie, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band teamed with Del McCoury, Steve Earle, and Pete Seeger, Snooks Eaglin, and Twangorama. In the last half hour we listen to John "Papa" Gros, Luke Winslow King, John Boutte, Eric Lindell, Sunpie Barnes & the Louisiana Sunspots, and CJ Chenier and the Red Hot LA Band. Enjoy
