In this episode of Vegan Activist Radio we interview animal rights activists Jevranne Martel and Ananda Pratt during their visit to Halifax as part of an East Coast outreach/activist tour. Jevranne Martel is a returning guest and Canadian animal rights activist who has been actively involved in the movement since going vegan. Jevranne is currently the Canadian Outreach Coordinator for Vegan Outreach where she has been doing vegan education and outreach on a cross Canada tour.

We welcomed Ananda Pratt to the show, who hails from Toronto, Ontario. Ananda is an organizer with the Toronto Pig Save and has been active in the Toronto Pig Save attending weekly vigils and bearing witness. Ananda organizes the Niagara Farm Animal Save Group.

Check out this great interview as we discuss animal rights activism, bearing witness, why activist burnout is real, why self-care and self-love are critical to sustainable activism, and why we need to hold onto hope by connecting with others.
