In the first place, Viva Zwei channel was not receivable for everybody in Germany. TV cable connection was necessary and by that time it wasn’t obvious in Dresden, former DDR area. So a lot of people in our generation had to hang out at friend's places to be able to watch it. Sometimes you even had to visit your grandmother to watch your favourite bits. It was only like the last two years of Viva Zwei existence when it was available via satellite. For the most of us an avarage day looked like coming home from school, turning on your tv, switching to Viva Zwei, grabing a pencil and sheet of paper and inhaling everything that was coming out from the tv set.
Before services like YouTube and all social network platforms - MySpace and Facebook showed up, Viva Zwei was the only place worth looking for good music. For the most of our generation it was the first time when we came across artists from Aphex Twin with his crazy videos to non commercial hip-hop like Taktloss or Kool Savas.
