Rock Roots Radio Show - Spike Hawkins Tribute

The award winning team behind UYC Experience present this week's episode of Rock Roots Radio.

Spike Hawkins was part of the poetry scene in LOndon and Liverpool during the 1960s and much of his output upholds the values of that group; short, modernistic, humorous pieces of free verse. He was published in various outlets and publications including 'Children of Albion'.

In this episode we talk to his 'beat poet' comprade Pete Brown in an exclusive interview, plus world famous autor Jenny Fabian (co-author od 'Groupie') talks about her time with Spike at Cranleigh Mansions PLUS exclusive interview with michael Horovitz, who talks about the 60's counter culture, underground, new trend poetry of the time and Spike's involvement.

With readings from Spike Hawkins of his most famous poems.

Of course, the show is punctuated with great music from PInk Fairies, Syd Barret, Pink Floyd, Cream, The Family and plenty more
