This mix is inspired by Detroit hipsters in early 2000s. There was always some chick at the bar who said, I like to listen to Kool Keith. I'm like: "what's your favorite album?" They're always like: "I like Dr. Octagon." I think to myself, you don't really know Keith do you?
Kool Keith is one absurd dude. His raps with Ultramags are some of the most inspired from an era of really dope Hip Hop. Not really sure what happened to this dude as the 90s went on. Similar to me, he started picking up crazy nicknames: Dr. Octagon, Mystery X. Anyway, I never know if this guy is being serious or if he is pulling the wool over our eyes.
H asked me a while back, who is better Kool Keith or MF Doom? I said, I don't know if they are comparable, but I'll put my Keith collection against anyone's MF collection anyday. Enjoy.

PS - Very hard to mix Hip-Hop compared to techno. Sorry for the wrecks. Also, do you know the significance of the refrigerator and Kool Keith?
