Lithuanian-Ukrainian author Jaroslavas Melnikas discusses his dual-national literary identity and how this came about. He shares an excerpt from his latest collection of stories to be translated into English, The Last Day, and we explore his oeuvre in terms of some underlying philosophical concerns and how it plays out in a couple of his recent books.
