Volume 21 is a bit of a two handed affair, but with an atmospheric theme running all the way through. First half gets a bit fierce, opening with the video mix of Amon Tobin's Esthers, mainly as i like the extended intro. (watch the video though, if you get a chance; sinister romance at its best) Hoax by Drome to keep it up the beat count before stepping it up with some bass heavy breakbeats from Herve. Then moving in of a bit of old school breaking and entering from The Prodigy. Modern breakbeat rave from Shannon and on to an old classic that sounds like one of my old nights out; "Ten B&H and a packet of rizla. No, king size. Not the green!" But then we cut the heavy drums out and slow things down a bit with another Amon Tobin track that is sure to give you nightmares. The Joker's dub remix of The Heavy. Rolling techno bass from Underworld and then a final nudge off in to the night from the Lo Fidelity Allstars.
Sweet dreams, yeah?
