Talking of "sounds" we hear the steam whistle of a train passing nearby. If this were a detective series and you were being held hostage, the detectives would say, "Ah, he's being held near a steam preservation railway and most likely close to a whistle board." They'd find you in no time - case closed.

Thank you for recognizing the brilliance of the lyrics on the Mona Bone Jakon album. So many people overlook those songs in favor of those on Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat.
