The Teller and the Tale features Joanna Chapman-Smith

A respected storyteller, Joanna has also performed at Toronto’s the 1001 Nights, the Mosaic Storytelling Festival, and, more recently, at the Toronto Storytelling Festival.

Born in Toronto to an American mother and New-Zealand father, Joanna eventually moved to Vancouver where she lived for nearly a decade before returning to her home-town of Toronto where she’s established herself on both the storytelling and singer-songwriter circuits, playing in clubs like Hugh’s Room in Toronto and festivals like Summerfolk in Owen Sound and concerts across Canada, including the Vancouver Island Music Festival. She’s also made a number of tours abroad, playing at house concerts and concert halls across Europe and the UK and opened for such artists as Bobby McFerrin, Devon Sproule, Tom Paxton, Anais Mitchell, Ken Whiteley, The Good Lovelies, Catherine McLelland and many, many more.
