Lost Tapes - The Utopia's Paradise (December 4, 1993)

Playing tracks by

Cast Of Thousands, Mimi Johnson, Black Rascals, Classic Man, Joe T Vannelli, The Untouchables and more.

Legendary Montreal radio show that's been on air for more than 20 years on a weekly. In the early 90's, this show along with "Noir et Blanc" & "The Lion's Den" made a strong impact on me and directly influenced me musically.

The Utopia's Paradise is the brainchild of Tony Desypris. Frequent guest DJ's in the early 90's phase of the show were Peter Lightburn, Claude Dabbas & Kirk Smith. Then over the years many new generations of Montreal DJ's had the chance to participate to this Montreal institution.

This particular edition was mixed and programmed by Claude Dabbas. Keep in mind that most of the records played were new releases at the time. That's what make this mix so special for me. It was the first time I heard many of these songs that night of 1993. I'm still heavily playing many of them 20 years later. Most of them are now classics. I hope you'll enjoy this tape as much as I do.
