John McNaughton's fantastic movie is aided no end by Michael Rooker's performance as the titular character. But it's remarkable to watch this film now and see how it laid down the foundations and influenced so many films that came after it.
Unflinching and almost passive in it's depiction of the main character's penchant for random killing this is a very, very dark and sinister film. There are, if you will excuse the pun, stabs at recognising the probable causes of Henry's psychosis, but no moral high or low grounds are taken.
As would be expected this mix is pretty dark and as always is merely my personal interpretation of this groundbreaking movie. Brooding instrumental tracks and (kind of) pertinent vocal-led songs are interspersed with a variety of sound effects that I thought would benefit this kind of mix.
Enjoy... if you can.
