“As for the Black Spirituality mix, I wanted the music to convey a sense of peace. The world is chaotic right now, so I wanted to compile a project that calms the spirit while showcasing esoteric black art from around the world. I wanted it to energize, soothe, and penetrate. Some songs are visceral, others are straightforward. Hopefully they take you to places you haven’t been to before.”
