Due to tragic circumstances, Reverend Malaika fell into a rabbit hole of research, studying mental health issues and discovered that the biggest cause of loneliness and depression is a lack of communication.
So, in efforts to combat that, each episode, the Rev is going to interview a vast array of people about their life stories. In this episode, the Rev speaks to Elaine Clarke-Williams, Head of Neighbourhoods, Confidence and Equality Team at the GMP. She talks to Malaika about growing up in the 60s in Blackburn, being one of six siblings and her ancestor who was one of the first to be imprisoned in Antigua.
