DJ Overload found his roots in the now legendary nightclubs owned by Kris Clark in Portland Maine. Overload began his DJ career in 1988 in the 'Wherehouse', Portlands first Chem-free club, spinning the latest in progressive, new wave, synth pop, goth, industrial, New Beat, and alternative music. Shortly thereafter he moved his residency to 'Zootz' where he continued the musical journey. Overload then had residencies at 'Goodnight Ogunquit' in Ogunquit, Maine and 'Decadance' in Dover, New Hampshire. Thoughout this time, his influences continued to be from Kris Clark, Dale Charles, Deb Dufresne, Tracy Chaplin, and Dave Park. In 1992, DJ Overload started a residency at the now famous 'ManRay' nightclub in Cambridge Massachusetts alongside DJ Chris Ewen. At this time, Overload’s passion moved to techno and UK Hardcore. At the beginning of this era of music, the Rave years, were the peak of Overloads career.
