The third mix on our channel comes from Tomaz di Cunto, the Brazilian composer and singer-songwriter better known as Toco. “Memoria”, his latest work, is a moving and intimate elaboration of themes and atmospheres rooted in the tradition of the north-east area of Brazil, a work with a strong bond with the sound of this country (listen here: http://bit.ly/1xXIk5p)

Here in the guise of selector, Toco is indeed at ease with the broadcasting environment – his love for music coming from the days he spent working as an assistant at ENSAIO TV Cultura in Sao Paulo. There he worked on a show on Brazilian music directed by Fernando Faro. It was the kick-off of a passionate research and of in-depth studies on the rich musical tradition of his country, the start of his career in music.
Toco now conducts the weekly radioshow “Brasileirando” in Florence (Italy),
where he presents fine selections of contemporary Brazilian music.
