400 years dead. Worthy of 100x30-second songs? Mark Christopher Lee on the bard with Sarah Lowther

Playing tracks by

Shakespear's Sister, Bjork, Talking Heads, Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Smiths and more.

He’s on a roll and it’s now up for serious debate. Who’s the bigger bard? Mark Christopher Lee or William Shakespeare? When you look at their output it could be argued they are neck and neck in terms of ground breaking material and breaking artistic moulds. Is Antonio in the Merchant of Venice a homosexual? Quite frankly who cares. No time to ponder over some fictitious character’s preferences when there’s 100 tracks to listen to. But here lies the conundrum dear Yorick - how does one put 100 tracks onto CD’s that only take 99 tracks? The clue lies inside.
And remember one should always leave a light burning in an empty theatre.
Is this the world’s weirdest tribute to Shakespeare?
