Audio Soul Project is House Music royalty. Hailing from the Windy City you can be certain the city rubbed off on him. In this journey Mazi Namvar provided songs by Hugo LX, Gene Farris, Patrice Scott, Inland Knights, Dan Ryan, Tone Theory, Iz and Everything, Johnny Fiasco, Karen Ramirez, Alexander East, Soul II Soul and Toka Project. For most in the know people about our lifestyle these artists are the backbone of our style and Audio Soul Project puts these timeless puzzle pieces together with ease. An interesting note is this mix came together in one take!
Mazi began releasing his own music in 1994, the year I joined the military. Since then he has served as A&R on Gourmet Recordings and Afterhours. Taking this a step further he started his own label; Fresh Meat Records. This current project has a steady flow of releases on bandcamp in the digital and vinyl realm. The most recent release will come from Chris Udoh...funny cuz we have Deep C coming to San Antonio Jan 22nd.
