1987 - Part 1 - Capital Radio House Party - Les Adams and James Hamilton

Playing tracks by

Prince, Jellybean, Bam Bam, Whitney Houston, Bananarama and more.

This is a recording of the Capital Radio New Years Eve House Party for 1987/1988 mixed by Les Adams and James Hamilton.
This was recorded on to TDK SA-X 90 minute cassettes on Thursday 31st December 1987 running into 1988.

James Hamilton quote 'Les and I spent six days putting the show together, crammed into Les's tiny home studio and lot's of digital recording and sampling equipment. Naturally, Les brought this equipment into play and there are several cunningly sampled stunts included. Les did all the mixing while I sequenced the running order.'

This is part 1 of 5.

Loved these back in the day. I could pick up Capital where I lived in Winchester, and taped the new years eve houseparties, but some of the tapes were stolen. Loved the "Donald where's your troosers" remix! Ian Jons, listen to you and LA on Solar.

I spend a fair amount of time with Sir Les Mixdoctor Adams, the man is a legend and we all wanted to be like him but alas we were no where near being as talented as he!!
