The Crazy Guys From Germany - 80s German Old School Rap & Electro

The Crazy Guys From Germany - 80s German Old School Rap & Electro

Chart positions

This show was 5th in the global old school hip hop chart, 17th in the global old school chart, 18th in the global electro chart and 27th in the global rap chart.

You like the crazy boys and girls from Germany?

Here you will find some crazy and also very rare examples of german rap & electro stuff from the 80s. Many people don't believe that there was already rap from Germany in the eighties. Let me teach you better :) I picked 13 songs from the eighties. Three of them are even from eastern Germany. All of these songs were actually produced in Germany. But mainly released only on independent labels. In the USA, old school was already over, in Germany it only started.

Some have clearly audibly oriented themselves to others. For example, you can see similarities to Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three, Grandmaster Flash, Newcleus, Planet Patrol or even a Whispers Rap cover. Holy Shit ...

I hope you enjoy my crazy journey through the German underground.

And The Rap Goes On..........

This is probably not the expected reaction to these good ol' bumpy Hip-Hop sounds, but they make me feel nostalgic, like if I was experiencing the innocence lost.

Hardly anyone knows that there was rap in Germany as early as the 80s. Not even the Germans. That's why I didn't expect much :) Merci G!

Another example of your extensive musical library Joe, showcasing tracks that you will probably not hear anywhere else. Thanks for the education again my friend – it was crazy! :)

Sometimes I have topics that are worth introducing :) Big thanks MC Jonathan ;)

Professor Eddy

Seems like rap was invented in Germany instead of the Bronx! :-) Very enjoyable.
