Thinking of my Parents in Upstate New York with another storm coming their way (they were hit hard by a bad flood last year when hurricane Irene invaded their area). Thought that I should send some prayers their way. Not long after these thoughts, perhaps since I grew up Catholic and was an alter boy for a while, I found myself uttering the phrase "Forgive me Father for I have sinned, it has been...", the last words to follow becoming the title for this mix. It hit me after speaking those words that I'd just found the theme for my next mix. What sins would I confess if I actually did go to confessional? I might start with how I've been cussing out loud at Romney almost every time I hear him lie without shame on the radio. But there have been much bigger sins that I have committed over the years besides that trivial and justifiable offense. This got me thinking of sin and songs that personify it. This mix features two songs each by Fats Waller and Dave Edmunds (pictured). Enjoy!
