Mark Aitken examines the relationship between photography and sound. This week: the grain silos of Buffalo, USA, inspired Bauhaus architects to design fantastic structures for living in. These houses that loom over Los Angeles inspired Julius Shulman to photograph them. Shulman's works appear as film sets from a modernist utopia. Matthew Beaman from Monocle magazine joins Mark to discuss Shulman's images. With music from Sinatra, Kraftwerk and Sahraoui Bachir.
