Tonight: A smattering of sword-sharp synth-pop and jazz-inflected songcraft from ‘70s to present day Japan; fronted and/or collaborated by legendary female artists such as Jun Togawa, Maki Asakawa, Eiko Ishibashi and Phew. Many of the songs also feature high-profile producers and arrangers like Haruomi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Otomo Yoshihide, Hoppy Kamiyama, Jim O’Rourke and Can.
