Correction to what I said on air:
* Blacks in the US were counted as 3/5 of a person for the population not 3/5 of a person for the vote.
* I meant to talk about Aboriginals not being on the census until the 1960s and therefore not counting as people rather than when they got the vote.
* Rather: "In 1962, the Menzies Government amended the Commonwealth Electoral Act to give Indigenous people the right to enrol and vote in Commonwealth elections irrespective of their voting rights at the state level. If they were enrolled, it was compulsory for them to vote as per non-Indigenous citizens."
