An anecdotal history of classical music presented by 19 year-old composer and writer Jack Pepper. Today, Jack is joined by Darragh Morgan and Adi Tal of the Fidelio Trio, who will be discussing their upcoming concert at the Spitalfields Music Festival in December. Also explored is the composer who was captured by pirates and who subsequently worked as a music director of a munitions factory; the composer who was sent to the gulag following a drunken bar brawl; and ‘classical clubbing’ and the ‘indie classical’ movement, including a concerto for turntables.
