An anecdotal history of classical music presented by 18 year-old composer and writer Jack Pepper. Today, Jack explores the composer who used an original piece to convince his in-laws to give their daughter’s hand in marriage, the composer who was locked up with a plate of macaroni by an impresario until he finished an opera, and the musician who travelled to the Middle East in search of a woman said to be the fulfilment of humanity’s destiny. Also featuring today are a heretic choirmaster, a many-named musician and a composer who was almost jailed for eating a swan. Seriously. All episodes can be heard on www.jackpeppermusician.com.
