In a three part series curator, artist and musician Aki Onda (https://akionda.net/) explores the work of Filipino ethnomusicologist turned composer José Maceda (1917 - 2004) (http://www.composers21.com/compdocs/macedaj.htm), who bridged the Western avant-garde music with the indigenous sounds of his homeland. Episode 2: “Udlot-udlot” for thousands of performers in an open-air ritual; and Maceda's field recordings as ethnomusicologist, including previously unreleased tracks from the Maceda Collection in Manila.
