Finding Money - London and Paris Diary, a project by Carla Cruz and Antonio Contador in residency at Gasworks and Open School East, supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. During the residency, Cruz and Contador explored the questions and problems that arise when money is found on the street. Continuing a project they started in 2012, they unpacked the social and political repercussions of this everyday occurrence in collaboration with experts from various fields, such as numismatics, art history, archeology and astrology. Their research resulted in a series of public events focusing on the issues of value, honesty and privatisation at stake in finding or misplacing money. Tonight's Clear Spot comprises a 45 minute reading of selected parts of the diary of finding money in the streets of London and Paris.
