Prof Michael Hudson on the Ancient Near East

Prof Michael Hudson on the Ancient Near East

We discuss Hudson’s soon to be released book Labor in the Ancient World, on the manner in which incentives were provided to build public works. Also the battle between rulers, the evolving banking system and the resultant tensions to maintain community cohesion.

The stellar and addictive Michael Hudson
Listen to, and read everything of his you can get your hands on if you're at all curious about where we are.
If not, listen to him anyway... and you will be.

David Strickler

Always great to hear Michael Hudson and to learn how to discern economic history From one of twelve economists Dirk Bezemer cited who could see ahead of time the Great Crash of 2007. It is shameful in the USA that he appears to be censored from speaking on mainstream (eg CBNC, NBC, MSNBC) Beltway media. Thankfully he can be heard on TRNN. It is awesome you are providing record of interviewing him. Thank You

Great show Karl but how will we get things back to a more compassionate society instead of the greed & hatred that is today's economies. Through shows like your of course. I like the idea of beer parties, a bit like moving house can be these days if you need a few helpers. Any chance you can turn the volume up a bit next time? Thanks Sandie
