It was difficult to wake up in a Vancouver hotel room to hear the news of Marcus Intalex's passing. To hear that someone who was a massive influence on my career and an inspiration to so many had suddenly passed, was hard to comprehend & saddened me greatly. Luke, from Bachelors of Science & I were on the phone that morning, & it became clear that the only way for us to move forward from this tragic loss was to pay tribute to Marcus by playing a 2 hr tribute set of entirely of his tracks (including a few of his aliases). As soon as my flight landed in San Francisco we went directly to Luke's studio, compiled every Intalex tune we had and even bought some that we only had on vinyl to complete our collection. It didn't matter that I was running on 1-2 hours sleep from the night before and we hadn't eaten, we were determined to do justice to Marcus' music & let everyone know we intend to keep it alive forever.
