"Empire Soldiers" is a concept album detailing African and Indian soldiers' experiences during World War One. To me, the entire project is summed up in the beautifully pensive "Letter Home"; a track with a most profoundly human take on such an inhuman experience as war.
Aside from the interesting vocal songs, there are also a number of dramatic instrumentals, all named after locations of battles fought during the war ("Siege Of Kut", "Flanders" etc.)
The music here is electronic, digital dub with a big reggae influence. All but 3 of the 10 tracks have respective remixes or dub versions, which I've fused together making custom extended tracks.
