Radio X - Greenlight For Girls

Greenlight for girls is an international organisation dedicated to inspire girls of all ages and backgrounds to pursue STEM subjects by introducing them to the world of science in fun and exciting ways! Each year Greenlight for Girls organises a one-day girl-focused event demonstrating the fun in science through hands-on workshops and activities run by volunteers working in the area of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This year the International School of Brussels hosted the Greenlight for Girls event with approximately 200 participants ranging in age from 9-14yrs. This year the inspirational opening speech was given by Captain Carol Hottenrott, a former captain of a US Navy Destroyer Ship. Her story of career advancement in the US Navy reinforced the Greenlight for Girls motto that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
