ABYA YALA DOCUMENTARY DISCUSSION UNI OF SUSSEX ALEX TILLY

The Bolivia Information Forum charity visited University of Sussex campus this month to screen the documentary ‘Abya Yala: This Land is Ours’. The film is a fascinating look at the social and indigenous movements behind Bolivian President Evo Morales and the “Movement Towards Socialism” party, following the story of his election. This is a really interesting time to find out more about Bolivia, as Evo Morales is the first president from the indigenous population. The film was followed by a talk from Alex Tilley (Coordinator of the Bolivia Information Forum). The BIF produces a regular bulletin which is written by experts in Bolivia and in the UK and also includes frequent guest contributions from practitioners and reporters on development and human rights issues.
