Sudan Tapes Archive (@sudantapesarchive) is a small sonic archive that digitizes, organises and uploads Sudanese cassette tapes in an endeavor to democratize Sudanese music.

Founded in April 2020 by Sudanese-American artist and archivist Haneen Sidahmed, Sudan Tapes Archive hopes to contribute to a larger scale reclamation process of Sudanese archival practices, and provide a platform for Sudanese people across the globe to stream and download Sudanese music made inaccessible by U.S sanctions or otherwise.

Haneen has prepared for Radio Ensayo a set entitled "shawqi al-shadeed", or "My great love", a selection of romantic melodies which we gladly present for first time in Mexico and Latin America.
