In the last weeks, thousands of people have taken the streets of Poland to protest for women’s rights. The Polish government has issued legislation to control women bodies (making illegal almost all forms of abortion) in another step in an escalade of actions against women’s rights such as contraception. In this special program for Radio Ensayo, contemporary artist Zuza Golińska and journalist Kasia Jaroch talk about the protests, present some field recordings and discuss the aims and goals of the protests and the future of women’s rights in Poland.
