Playing tracks by

Dialing In, Bloom Offering, Throbbing Gristle, Pierre Boulez, Aruán Ortiz and more.

Chart positions

This show was 5th in the global noise chart, 11th in the global classical chart and 11th in the global experimental ambient chart.

It’s hard to keep up with new music when you can’t go to concerts. Radio Eclectus can help, with the latest from Michael Gordon, Howard Skempton, Christopher Cerrone, Ana Sokolović, Aruán Ortiz (with Andrew Cyrille), and even Penderecki, whose “missing” 6th Symphony has finally been recorded. We also finish Musikfabrik’s new album of works commissioned for Harry Partch instruments, which isn't currently streamable anywhere else! We introduce Der Finger's noisy take on the Four Seasons, say goodbye to COVID-19 victim Carole Finer, and continue our Cancelled Music feature with tracks by Seattleites Huck Hodge, Dialing In and Bloom Offering, all kept offstage by quarantines. Radical new music from the Northwest and beyond with host Michael Schell.

Also features Carola Bauckholt, Throbbing Gristle, Quatuor Bozzini, Argus Quartet, String Orchestra of Brooklyn, The Crossing, Talea Ensemble, London Experimental Ensemble, Sirinu & Stephan Genz. Photo credits & annotated playlist in comments.
