JANE ELLEN GLASSER - poet & Visual artist- is the author of 3 poetry collections, "Naming the Darkness" followed by " Light Persist". Winner of the Tampa review for Poetry (2005), and "On the Corner of Yesterday". Glasser served as poetry critic for the Virginian Pilot and poetry editor for The Ghent Quarterly and Lady Jane's Micellany, and co founded the New Virgina Review. Glasser is an active member of the Fort Lauderdale Writer's Group. As an artist she created The Root People which is a series of drawings imposed on photographs of ficus aerial roots. Glasser took the photos, printed them, and then used charcoal and colored pencil to discover images, a hidden colony, living inside the roots.
