Them and Van Morrison.
Here's a redux version of an earlier collection, a great man who must be in the top 20 artists of all time. Acknowledged as a main inspirer for Springsteen, it would be fair to say he approaches the business & his peers in the same curmudgeonly way Joni Mitchell does, while at the same time being reverential of Jazz & Blues/R&B greats. His musical diversity was encouraged by his father, who amassed a great album library (ranging from Mahalia Jackson through Charlie Parker to Muddy Waters & Hank Williams) while living in Detroit. It was jaw-dropping that he wrote Gloria while only 18 but he significantly upped the ante with Astral Weeks & Moondance. Since then he has amassed an immense catalogue of music, refusing to be constrained by commercial pressures, confounding most expectations by being thrilled to be knighted in 2016.
