This particular episode proved to be both triumphant & bittersweet, as we reflected upon the artistry & humanity of our comrade and brother-in-arms, Claude 'Akil' Nadir (aka Cool Cee Brown, known from the duo Dirty water alongside producer/MC Joe D). Akil recently passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving a legacy that illustrates excellence in service to his passions as an artist and educator. A complex, witty, clever, inspiring, soulful, compelling, and relentlessly brilliant individual, Akil's contribution to our cultural diaspora will forever endure.
