Joe Hambrook recalls buying his house from Kenny Tabor, the last crane driver to work at Lovell's Wharf in East Greenwich. He reminisces about the local community and the sounds and sights of the Thames visible from the rear of his house. He recalls the variety of jobs he has had in his lifetime from schoolmaster at Eton, to assisting Robert Graves, from the BBC to the Children's TV Workshop in New York and working with Jim Henson's Muppets.
