In our fourth and final drop of the series we meet DJ, poet, writer and internet radio station owner Charlie Dark.
Charlie takes us through his early history with vinyl that began in 1983 as a 13 year old with some record store vouchers and some influential first records that he still treasures today.
Passing on some great tips from his experience record shopping with the likes of DJ Shadow we learn that you don’t need a big budget, and your relationship with the record store owner can be just as valuable. Ultimately, the dancefloor doesn’t care where that hidden gem came from so don’t be afraid to dig more widely than your known genre.
Taking on our challenge, Charlie Dark has recorded this vinyl only Record Store Day mix using records purchased for under £5/€5. Enjoy!
