Artrocker Radio 28th April 2014

Playing tracks by

Acoustic Ladyland, Backhand Saloon, Oozing Wound, Pontiak, Black Moth and more.

The Weekly Artrocker Radio returns after Easter but for one week only (May Bank Holiday and The Great Escape Festival are looming next week!). My usual exchange with Leanne reveals what we did 'on her holidays' and what bands we saw - Leanne enjoyed Thomas Truax, who also appears with Bob Log III soon and I report back on the Uncle Acid gig and our NHS shows at The Black Heart - recently announced as Music Week's venue of the year, beating off venues like the O2 !!! The show rocks from start to finish, USA sounds from Backhand Saloon, Oozing Wound (from their new split release with Black Pus), and Pontiak, who are in the UK this week. We have the new Black Moth single, new Eat Lights Become Lights and more from the debut Arrows of Love album out this week. Also very excited to have a first taster of the new DZ Deathrays album and their show at the Old Blue Last on Saturday. 'Hairdresser names' feature develops into Shop Puns, Sci-Fi London news + gig guide - [email protected]

The track's called Thunderhead - it's a Jeffrey Lee Pierce song as everyone knows - and the band's called Honey!

Sorry Kris, my bad. Which Jeffrey Lee album is it on ? Would love to hear more stuff by Honey though. Sorry for the mistake again. Paul

Have corrected it now, sorry for the mistake. Paul
