Nusasonic x Musicboard Berlin virtual tandem residency presents a new mixtape by Collo Awata!

Funtunfunefu Denkyemfunefu is a Ghanaian symbol. The literal translation is "Siamese crocodiles." The symbol shows two conjoined crocodiles, which symbolises democracy and cooperation. Normally independent creatures, the crocodiles are forced to work together and unite in order to survive. The symbol also represents unity among different religions, and cultural tolerance.

Through this mix, Collo Awata has selected tracks that he’s been listening to from producers from Africa and its diaspora. The mix is a conversation through shared and distant rhythms, from trap to stripped afro beat and experimental arrangements. He wanted to take this chance to highlight the bonds shared between electronic musicians from the African diaspora, even across oceans and cultures.

This mixtape is commissioned by Nusasonic. Learn more on nusasonic.com
