“Tell Me About Your Childhood” features a blend of rock, pop, soul, funk, house and everything in between together with movie & TV samples and acapellas from my youth. Nearly 80 minutes of rocksteady beats, old school hiphop and scfi soundbites in the mix. This is a mix full of memories. The title is stolen from the classic Thomas Dolby video "Hyperactive", of course. Recorded in 1998 (i think), this mix was recorded using vinyl on a pair of Technics and a Roland SP808 Multitrack (for the trainspotters). Enjoy........................."yo J Whaite" :)
Hi Mark......my favourite mix and the least listened to :( . I recorded this mix around 1997/98 on a pair of Technics and edited using a Roland SP808 (hence lots of bonkers bullet edits), i was a big Latin Rascals fan (hence the name). These days my mixes are done live (not in one-take obvs) in Traktor using a Kontrol S4.......and edited in Audacity (freeware). Thanks for listening.
Hi - just catching up with all your mixes and loving them - same age I think. I have a question - how are you putting your mixes together? Cheers Mark
