Living Well in the Big Easy explores MDMA assisted psychotherapy and the FDA backed clinical trials!

Gail and Nicole interview Dr. Mark Skellie- a clinical psychologist assisting with researching the use of MDMA (aka ecstasy) along with psychotherapy to heal Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through research going on with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) organization. Dr. Skellie discusses the process of the treatment and preliminary outcomes in individuals who have severe PTSD.  Dr. Skellie is accompanied by Lori Tipton, a local New Orleanian and participant in the study who was healed of severe PTSD with use of this therapy.  Lori is an author, playwright, public speaker, and advocate for the use of psychedelics in the field of mental health. She is currently completing a book which chronicles her journey of healing as a participant in this study.  She has been interviewed by NPR, CBC and ABC news and Gambit Weekly to name a few, and has been on multiple podcasts.  Her story was featured in this Gambit article last month on the use of MDMA to treat PTSD
