This show was 3rd in the global eclectic chart, 4th in the global funk - soul - jazz chart, 5th in the global groove chart, 8th in the global funk chart and 9th in the global afrobeat chart.
Recorded Live from 45s at SPQR Pizzeria in Melbourne on 26 May 2017, this is a mix of mostly Philophon Records 45s out of Germany alongside some of my other favourite Afro 45s.
I love playing at this place and this music suits the room really well.
It's also a real pleasure to return to my 'Africanisms' series and this mix straddles Ethio and North African Sounds and even touches on Cumbia briefly.

I really can't remember that I heared them in your mix five months ago. I listen to so many mixes and I can't remember everything. I still want to dig into this stuff because very much of it is completely unknown to me.

Thing is when I look at the website I only find one cd, all other stuff are 45's. I only buy cd's so that is a real shame.
